Taking 5 free mockups a week

Contractor websites that get the phone to ring.

I build fast, plain, no nonsense websites for Twin Cities home service companies. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, concrete, landscaping.

  • Send me your site and I will rebuild your homepage free. Live link back in 24 hours.
  • No charge and nothing owed. If you like it, we talk. If not, keep it anyway.
  • You talk to the guy building it. One person in Chanhassen, not an agency.

Built for phones first, because that is where your customers are standing when something breaks.

The work

What a contractor homepage should look like

Three builds, three trades, three different jobs to do. Rating and phone in the first screen every time, because that is what the customer came for.

Furnace out at 2am?

A real person picks up, day or night.

HVAC

Emergency first

One promise a customer can check at 2am. Everything above the fold serves the panic call, and the quote form sits right next to it for everyone else.

Drain cleaning, $149.

Flat rates printed on the homepage. No surprise at the end.

Prices on the page

Publishing flat rates kills the biggest reason people bounce, which is not knowing what a call is going to cost them.

Sell the claim

Storm work is won on the insurance process, not the shingle. The page walks through who meets the adjuster and what the homeowner actually pays.

These are demonstration companies, not real clients. I built them so I could show real work without putting a real contractor name, phone number and customer reviews on a public page they never approved. Client work stays private unless the owner says otherwise. Ask and I will send you live links you can open on your phone.

What I keep finding

Most contractor sites leak calls in ways nobody told the owner

These are real defects pulled off real Twin Cities contractor websites this year. Not opinions about the color scheme. Things that cost jobs, and things you can check yourself in about ten seconds.

A contact form with no phone fieldFor emergency trades this is the single biggest conversion defect there is. Somebody with water on the floor is not waiting on an email reply.
The email link goes to the wrong addressThe page shows your address, the link behind it points somewhere else. Found this on three different sites. Every click went somewhere the owner could not read.
Your phone number is not tappableIt is printed as plain text, so on a phone nothing happens when you press it. The customer has to memorize it and switch apps. Half of them do not.
Pinch to zoom is turned offPull your site up on your phone right now and try to zoom in. If it will not, the builder blocked it, and anyone over fifty just left.
Builder default page names in the address barPages called blank-1, roofing-1, exterior-painting-2. Google reads those addresses. So does anybody deciding whether you look established.
Your star rating appears nowhere on your own siteYou earned hundreds of reviews and the homepage does not mention them. That is the cheapest trust you will ever get and it is sitting on Google unused.

The offer

I will rebuild your homepage for free, in 24 hours

Not a mockup in a slide deck. A working page at a real link that you can open on your phone and send to your wife.

1

You send me your website

That is the whole ask. The form below takes about thirty seconds. No call required, no meeting, no discovery session.

2

I build it and send the link

Within 24 hours. Your real services, your real reviews, your real number. Plus a short plain list of anything broken I ran into.

3

You decide, or you do not

Like it, we build out the rest. Do not like it, we are done and you owe nothing. Either way the page is yours to keep.

What you get

Every build, standard

No upsell list. This is what a home service website has to do, so it all comes in the box.

Tap to call everywhereHeader, hero, middle of the page, footer, and a bar stuck to the bottom of every phone screen.
A quote form that asks for a phoneRequired field, plus a service dropdown so you know what the job is before you call back.
Your rating above the foldStars and review count in the first screen, where it does the work.
Real service pages with real namesAddresses like /water-heaters, not /page-3. Named towns you actually cover.
Google structured dataYour business type, service area, phone and rating written the way search engines read it.
Loads in under a secondNo page builder bloat, no thirty scripts. Plain fast pages that work on one bar of service.
Mobile first, tested on a phoneBecause that is where the emergency calls come from, not from a desk.
You own itYour domain, your content, your accounts. Nothing is held hostage if you ever leave.
Hosting and SSL sortedSet up and pointed at your domain. You do not touch a DNS record.

Pricing

One number, told to you up front

Same principle I put on my clients sites. You should not have to book a call to find out what something costs.

Website build
$500 to $1,500 one time

Where you land depends on how many pages you need. A sharp one page site for an owner operator sits at the bottom. A full build with a page per service and per town sits at the top. You get the number in writing before anything starts.

  • Design, build, copy and launch
  • Domain pointed and SSL set up
  • Everything in the list above
  • Nothing due until you have seen it
Optional

Monthly maintenance

Only if you want it. Plenty of clients take the site and never speak to me again, and that is a fine outcome.

  • Hosting, backups and uptime
  • Content edits when things change
  • New service or town pages as you grow
  • Cancel any month, no contract

Start with the free mockup

Who you are dealing with

Justin Adams, Chanhassen

I am one person, not an agency and not a reseller. When you call the number on this page, I answer it. When your site needs a change, I make it that day instead of putting it in a queue.

I picked home service on purpose. Contractors get sold marketing packages by people who have never looked at what the site is actually doing wrong, and the bill shows up monthly forever. I would rather build the thing once, build it right, hand you the keys, and let the work decide whether you call me again.

That is also why the mockup is free. You should be able to see the work before anybody talks about money.

Questions

The ones I get asked

What is the catch on the free mockup?

There is not one. I build the page, I send you the link, and you keep it whether we ever work together or not. It costs me a few hours and it is a better pitch than anything I could say in an email. If the page is not good, you will know immediately and I will have wasted my own afternoon, not yours.

How long does the real site take once I say yes?

A one page site is usually a few days. A full multi page build is one to two weeks, and most of that is waiting on photos and details from you rather than on me. I will give you a date at the start and hold to it.

I already have a website. Do I have to start over?

Usually yes, and that is normally cheaper than fixing what is there. Most of the sites I look at were built on a page builder that fights every change. What we keep is your content, your photos, your reviews and your domain. What gets replaced is the shell around them.

Do I have to move my domain or my email?

No. Your domain stays registered where it is and in your name. I change one setting so it points at the new site, and your email keeps working exactly as it does today. If you want me to walk you through it on the phone while you are logged in, that is fine too.

Do you do Google ads and SEO?

I build the site so it is set up correctly for search, which means real page addresses, structured data, fast load times, and your service area written out. I do not run ad campaigns or sell monthly SEO retainers. If that is what you need, I will tell you straight instead of taking the money.

What if I already pay somebody for my website?

Then take the free mockup, put it next to what you have, and decide. That is the entire argument. Plenty of contractors are paying every month for a site that has not been touched since it launched, and a lot of them do not realize it until they see the two side by side.
